Because I can not give a fair review of the debate last night, I am gonna give a review of the media's review of the debate.
The Boston Herald has roughly four articles on the evening proceedings and shockingly the"right winger" Howie Carr thought Joe Biden blew, Peter Gelzinis thought Sarah blew it with her "backwoodsiness" , then two somewhat neutral articles.
On NBC right after the debate I assume Tom Brokaw mumbled questions about the debate at a few panel members and they ( your not gonna believe this) were split on how it went down. Republicans thought Mrs P. knocked it out of the park. The Democratic panel members thought Joe was on point with facts and strong talking points.
CBS ( decidedly liberal ) thought Biden was really good, Palin, eh, evasive on some of the questions. Fox News ( decidedly not liberal) had Greta Stroke-face on and they thought Sarah Palin could be the first queen of America.
Dialy Kos basically thinks McCain would be better off running with Trigg Palin. michelle malkin thought sarah looked like the real deal and the senator looked tired(?).
and so on and so forth...
What's the point of having 50,000 opinions about what we just watched? Are we that dumb that we need to watch a wrap up show to tell us what we just heard? Also, what's the point of going on TV or Newspaper with your "analysis" of the debate when it's just not an honest assessment what jut happened? Why not just have them put your face next a donkey or elephant then pull a "quote" or two out of a hat and slap that person's name to it? It would basically have the same effect wouldn't it?
What's the point? The media stinks! And I can't write a fair assessment of the debate because one candidate makes my brain swell.
btw, you might be thinking why did you watch/ read all these reviews?
To be honest I don't know. I guess I think it's amazing that millions of people can watch the same exact thing and have such an incredibly different perspective on what they saw, or heard in this case. When did political reporting become a Picasso?
